TNT -Truth on Tuesdays

TNT is a group of children, aged 8 upwards. We get together to have fun, explore the Bible, listen to God and get to know Him better and to pray for one another. Jesus said that ‘if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them.’ (Matthew 18:20) Wow! So TNT is a place where children can expect to meet Jesus.

At the moment we are doing an Alpha Course, covering the basics of our faith, but it is a great time for the children to ask us some really insightful and even difficult questions!  When we complete the course the children will receive a certificate.

Here are five important things TNT should aim for:
1.      Jesus at the centre
2.      Care and Belonging
3.      Everyone has a part to play
4.      Servant leadership
5.      Prayer

How do TNT Sessions Work?
We start with icebreakers, then we have a topic, chosen by children, which we relate to the Bible. We include some fun things to help us remember. Sometimes we will have a guest to talk about their life.  Every 4th session is a social. The children decide what to do.

It is a chance for children to discuss and take part in real things that affect you and your understanding of God. The aims are:

·        For them to know that God is present
·        To experience the reality of God for themselves, and discover more
·        To know people care about them as individuals
·        To relate to others and be related to
·        To know their own value, be recognised, understood and accepted
·        To take responsibility

This is their group and an opportunity to grow in faith with their friends.
