Sue's Story...........When I lived in Seaforth in Liverpool, it was the saddest, yet in other ways the happiest, time of my life. My marriage had failed and I was left to bring my daughter up alone. I lived on state benefit and life was hard. Life took a turn for the better when I was invited one night to listen to a group of women sharing their life story. I thought it would be an opportunity to get out of the house, so I went along. I could see that these women had a joy, peace and life that I wanted and needed. As they shared how Jesus Christ had come in to their lives they invited anyone who wanted prayer to come forward. I gave my life to the Lord Jesus that night. I had made such a mess of my life and I found it hard to move forward. I started to read the word of God in the Bible and found that some people in the Bible had done the very same things as me - so I started to pray and ask God to help me and He did! Joy, peace and life came as my prayer life grew. The Lord Jesus became the most important person to me and I knew how much He gave up to come to earth for sinners like me. Times were still hard for me and my daughter but Jesus supplied all our needs (not our wants). We were not alone. Eventually life took a new turn. I married again and had a new baby daughter. The Lord Jesus is still my joy, peace and life today. Walking with Him in this life helps me to go forward no matter what comes around the corner. If you do not know Jesus today, pray to Him. He will come and save you too if you really want Him. |
