A Life Changing Moment! - Anita

It happened in an instant 27 years ago, God came into my life.

I was 32years old, very happily married with 2 young daughters, we had a nice home and my husband had a good job. Then a friend died, my husband was offered a job in London, things started to change and all that had been rock-solid in life was no longer.

It was a Wednesday evening and I was breaking my heart crying and I phoned a dear friend who had become a Christian earlier in the year. Having had no church upbringing I had no idea what a Christian was but she told me to go and pray. I did not even know what this meant so I went into my living room, sat down and just cried that ‘if God was there would He help me’. Immediately I felt the gentle touch of hands wipe the tears from my face and I heard and felt heaven. I saw blue and gold and I heard heavenly music and I knew that Jesus had died for me and that my sins were forgiven. When I think back it was miraculous as I did not even think I had any sins and I certainly did not know a thing about God or Jesus.

From that moment Jesus has been Lord of my life. I knew that God loved me and have known it ever since. Becoming a Christian does not mean that you or your life will suddenly become perfect, but Jesus will always be with you and that changes everything. Your attitude to situations and people will be different and always for the better.

I have gone to church ever since that life-changing night, I read my Bible, and I pray. You see God loves me and if you give Him a moment in your life He will prove that He loves you too and your life will never be the same.
