ALPHA ALPHA is all to do with JESUS He is the ALPHA and the OMEGA, the beginning and the end. The aim of ALPHA is to point people to the only one who can save them in a friendly atmosphere.
NEXT COURSE STARTS WEDNESDAY 17th FEBRUARY 2010
On Wednesday 17th February at 7:00 pm we will be starting a new Alpha course here at Kingsway.
Alpha isn’t just for non – Christians. You may have been coming to Kingsway week after week, year after year, but in your heart you are thinking, there must be more to being a Christian than I am experiencing” You are right, there is! If this speaks to you then come on Alpha. It doesn’t matter if you are 17 or 80 years old!
Alpha is a solid bible based course and is for 8 weeks beginning at 7:00 pm and finishing no later than 9:30 pm. We begin with tea/ coffee and biscuits followed by a DVD dealing with a Christian topic, such as “Why did Jesus die?” or “Does God still heal today?”
People then have the opportunity to ask questions relating to the DVD in a small group in a friendly environment. The vast majority of people that have come on Alpha are those that have been personally invited by friends or family. People stay in a church for a variety of reasons but friendship is the main one. They need to make friends, and the small groups are ideal for this. This is one of the reasons why the ALPHA home group started at Kingsway ALPHA is about Jesus and His love for us.
In conclusion ALPHA is all about introducing people to Jesus.
It's not enough knowing about Jesus,
we need to know Jesus personally.
